Cityscapes at Hunter’s Point in New York City
Hunter’s Point is one of the locations we’re looking forward to shoot during our upcoming New York workshop. We’ll be there at sunrise on Friday, to shoot the skyline at blue hour and golden hour.
This location is in Queens, across the East River, so you get a great view of the Midtown skyline, including the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, and the United Nations. As you can see on the panorama below, the view goes all the way to downtown and the World Trade Center.
We’ll be there long enough to try different angles and exposures, including long exposures like the image below. And with the sunrise in our back, the city will look fantastic at golden hour.
After sunrise, we’ll take a water taxi back to Manhattan to explore the Icons of Midtown, like the Chrysler Building, Grand Central, the New York Public Library, St Patrick’s Cathedral and the
Empire State Building. If you want to join us in New York, we still have two spots open for Thursday-Friday!
